What we form on the press brake
Send a 3D model (STEP) and we read the bends, the material thickness and the flat blank straight from it. A DXF with the bend lines on their own layer works too.
- Brackets, angles and Z offsets
- U channels, hat channels and saddles
- Long parts up to 10 ft
- Parts thicker than panel-bending range
- Formed parts that will be welded into assemblies
Good practice for bent parts
- Keep holes and cut-outs away from bend lines — features too close to a bend can stretch when formed.
- Very short flanges or bends crowded close together can be hard to form; we’ll tell you during review if a bend needs a tweak.
- Design to the decimal thickness, not the gauge number: gauges differ between metals.

Questions
Our Amada press brake bends parts up to 10 ft long. Panels with flanges on several sides, up to 98″ long, often go on our Salvagnini P4 panel bender instead.
Yes. From a STEP model we read the material thickness and the bends and unfold the part to get the flat blank that the laser cuts.
